In my previous post I mentioned the Seminars About Long Term Thinking (SALT). These monthly talks are a great chance to understand the latest thinking across a broad range of subjects, from experts in their respective fields. Each talk and the following Q&A lasts anything from one to two hours in length.

If you prefer your brain food in more bite sized chunks then you may want to check out the excellent TED talks. These are a series of short seminars (no more than 20 minutes each) from experts in the fields of Technology, Entertainment and Design. The TED conference (from where the talks are taken) is a very exclusive affair - attendance is prohibitively expensive, or by invitation only. This exclusivity is reflected in the speaker list however, with fascinating and inspirational talks from speakers as diverse as Bill Clinton, Burt Rutan, James Watson, Jeff Bezos, Sir Martin Rees, Stefan Sagmeister and Google founders Sergey Brin & Larry Page. Videos of each talk are available on the TED website or as a video podcast.
